I always did love Working and I have also always love mundane settings in fiction, mostly because the stories that come from then are so relate able and simple that it really can create a connection with everyone. I think I’m going to enjoy blogging this anime as hopefully it’ll be the least word heavy post that I’ll be doing this season. Hopefully.
Anyways, here’s the screens.
The episode starts quite logically with the three newcomers to the civil service are introducing themselves to the rest of the employees. The main cast is made up of Yamagami, Lucy, Miyoshi, Saya and Hasebe, Yutaka. The three of them are being taught under Ichimiya, Taishi, a eight year old employee who apparently still feels like a newcomer.
Anyways the three newcomers are quickly whisked to work, with random gags being tossed in between. Much like Working had perfected in it’s cours. Servent x Service is much of the same well, it’s done quite well. There’s not much plot to say, well aside from the rather hilarious subplot of how Yamagami loathes the civil servant who allowed her parents to give her no doubt one of the most ridiculous names I’ve ever heard. The main conflict and entertainment will most likely be coming from the interactions between characters as Yutaka and Yamagami’s interactions have already proven to be quite hilarious to watch.
Rounding off the cast we also have Chihaya, Megumi joining us as the Yamagami’s partner. She’s proven a worthwhile member of the cast and her… uniquer character will prove to provide interesting interactions between the two of them.
Once again, there isn’t really much I’d like to go into. It’s a typical comedy in that it’s funny and entertaining. It’s good. There’s not much else to say.
